I first listened to this album back in 1998 and I still listen to it today! Just brilliant stuff!

Still cannot decide if their debut or sophomore album is better, but I think I'm leaning towards this one...

1998 was such an underwhelming year in music (considering 1997 was GREAT), but this album saved it.

I think this album was one of the ones I loved growing up that foreshadowed an interest in new wave...this and a Blondie best of.

My original was literally scratched and ruined after playing non-stop during various house moves for 2 years at the end of the 90's. Re-bought it again last week, and forgot how immense this record is. One of those ones I can listen to from start to end without skipping a single track. So glad to have this back in my life. I had forgotten how relevant it was. Underrated gold.

I used to listen to this in the 90s. Pretty good stuff. It is nice to rediscover it 10 years latter and still find it good.

All of these big giant descriptions when all you have to say is "perfect" or "flawless". Meh, I'll join. My dad got me this album for Christmas when I was 16 or so. 8 years later I don't listen to much music from back then, but I listen to this album A LOT. I am almost to the point where I can't sleep at night without listening to the Trick is to Keep Breathing.

It's definitely one of the definitive albums of the 90s - basically flawless from start to end. I truly believe it is a near perfect album, and there is not one song I could even begin to consider filler. In some respects I think Garbage squandered their full potential after this album, because they seemed to distrust the sound they had created. I think this is one of the records that people will revisit in the next ten years and give it the credit its worthy of. I'm proud to own this album.
