GATESANGERNE (Eng: Street Musicians)

"Gatesangerne" is a happy musician and clown troupe that intrudes where it should be,
and which easily reaches into the hearts of her topgallant-free behavior.

Street singers occurred by chance outside the Aker Brygge for more than ten years
ago, and since then they have taken both castle halls as backyards, and encouraging
minds of those who have been so fortunate to be present.

Repertoire-wise and visually appears as a troupe of musicians a la 1930 years in the
old bay, and through this constellation wanted to strike a blow for "Oslo-tone".

The spring -99 was the show "Tiger Balm" set up at the Victoria Theatre on main street.
A tribute to Oslo, where the best byviser and cabaret numbers from the last 75 years are presented.
From Rudolf Nilsen, to Lille Bjørn Nilsen, interspersed with well-known and beloved cabaret classics. Ensemble consists of the Oslo-girl Kari Svendsen, troubadour Lars Klevstrand, multi-musician
Steinar Ofsdal and accordion poet Kjetil Skaslien. Street singers touring the
entire country with their show "Tiger Balm" in autumn 2000.

Now available street singers' new CD, simply called the Oslo show . It has been
a veritable cornucopia of "Oslo classics" which are the key words Find Bo, Arne
Svendsen, Einar Rose, Arvid Nilsen, Jens Book-Jensen and Zetterström & Kristoffersen.

Street singers and clown sparkles through the 18 titles that simply must put it
most curmudgeon intellectuals happy enough!
