Giovanni Battista Reali, born in 1681 in Venice and died in 1751, was an Italian violinist and composer.
Reali did not leave many traces in the history of music. Violinist and composer, he began his musical career in Venice where in 1709 he published his high-quality Sonatas in trio op.1, consisting of caprices and sonatas for 2 violins and basso continuo, dedicated to Arcangelo Corelli, whose La Folia sonata. Shortly after, he published in Venice his op.2, 12 chamber sonatas for violin and basso continuo, which was reissued around 1712 by Estienne Roger in Amsterdam. In November 1711 Reali is mentioned as a violinist in the small San Fantin theater in Venice and finally in 1727 he was appointed choirmaster to the Duke of Guastalla in Emilia-Romagna where his traces are lost
