The third studio album by the Norwegian black metal band. Released in 1997 by Malicious Records on CD, vinyl, and picture disc vinyl.
All music/arrangements/lyrics by Infernus.
Recorded in spring 1996 in Grieghallen lydstudio.
Produced by Infernus and Pytten.

Although he had done half the tracks on the previous album Antichrist this is the first album which vocalist Pest performed vocals on all tracks.
VERSION HISTORY:
Century Black (the name Century Media Records was using at the time for its black metal releases) released the CD for the US market in 1999. Season Of Mist reissued the CD in 2005 with new artwork. Using the same cover art as the Season Of Mist CD reissue, limited vinyl reissues were done by Agonia Records in 2005 (1000 copies), by Back On Black in 2006 as a gatefold (unknown quantity) and the Back On Black version was re-pressed in 2009. CD-Maximum released the CD for the Russian market in 2006 also using the Season Of Mist cover artwork. Regain Records re-released a remastered CD using the original cover artwork in 2007, and re-pressed this CD edition in 2011 with the first 1000 copies including a patch and a slipcase which has the artwork from the picture disc vinyl. There also exist a cassette tape edition by Mystic Production for the Polish market & CD by Sombre Music for the Brazilian market which both use the original cover art.
