Hands of Despair is a progressive death/black metal band formed by Maxime Côté, (Quebec, Canada). Their characterized by long, epic songs which go through various moods and textures. They mix clean vocals with death metal growls and black metal shrieks. Some of the bands influences include: Opeth, Ulver, Mar de Grises, Swallow the sun, Katatonia, Daylight Dies, Anathema, Behemoth, Keep of Kalessin, Russian Circles, Pelican, and a lot more. They have written 3 albums so far.
