Biography
Decided to push the boundaries of his musical repertoire and have access to emotions and musical worlds otherwise inaccessible to himself solo, Severin Berz founded the Hang Trio in 2007. It is a collaboration with Julien Neumann and Samuel Huguenin, experienced multi-instrumentalists from varied inspirations, which allows them to explore many other diverse acoustic possibilities.
The hang is sometimes associated with the double bass, flute, saxophone, oud, guitar, or balafon. The result is striking. Hang Trio's music unfolds itself by providing compositions which are clear bridges between East and West. On the trails of the world music, Hang Trio creates an inspiring trip, full of meeting and sharing.
