Biography

Hayden Everett grew up in the San Francisco bay area, where he developed his passion for songwriting and the outdoors. With roots in jazz piano as well as folk and indie music, Hayden’s sound leans into lush harmony, smooth soundscapes, and heavy hitting rhythm. His music inspires peace, recognizes beauty, and sits in both doubt and joy. He strives to create more compassion and wonder through the songs he writes.

In 2018, Hayden joined the likes of Sara Bareilles and Maroon 5 when he won UCLA’s widely regarded Spring Sing competition, a songwriting showcase held for an audience of 10,000. Since its release in September of 2019, his debut EP has accumulated close to 500,000 streams on Spotify, gaining attention from Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, Alex Rainbird, and others. The final track on the EP, “Loud,” was featured in Season 16 of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. Hayden has received airtime on Los Angeles station KCRW 89.9 with Jason Kramer and San Fransisco station Alt105.3 on Aaron Axelsen’s Soundcheck.

The driving force of Hayden Everett’s art is music’s universal ability to make us all feel our most human. Celebration, nostalgia, awe, sadness, wonder, conviction, or doubt. He hopes that his songs can be of use to you.
