Austrian-born actress Heidelinde Weis was a sleek sex symbol in the 1960s, but she moved beyond film in the '70s, with a string of German recordings whose finest moments are featured on this collection. Much of what you'll hear on DER SUPERMANN: SONG COLLECTION 1975-1979 is of the mellow, loungey variety, with Weis softly cooing over arrangements that touch on jazz, pop, and even a bit of bossa nova, but there are some more uptempo moments as well, where things take more of a disco/funk turn.
