Biography
When musicians find themselves writing songs and jamming for hours at a time, they eventually find something they become obsessed with. That’s what happened when Jollan Aurelio and Andres Colmenares started the band Heister in early 2010. Meeting in South Florida – from different parts of the Earth. They eventually met drummer Ryan Holquist to add to their sound, writing a handful of songs every weekend they had.
Not only using piano and guitar, they play ukelele, harmonium, glockenspiel and percussion in their songs. Occasionally switching off instruments and often trying to keep the sound delightfully organic and original.
In August 2010 Heister signed to Danish label Kanel Records who will release their debut single Ever So Far as a split 7" with a new song by Dad Rocks! on the other side.
