Biography
Helena Eyjólfsdóttir was born on January 23, 1942. Her singing career began with singing in a christmas album "Jólakort" in 1954 when she was only 12. The next album was released in 1958. Helena has traditionally performed with various bands, such as Neo-kvartettinum (Neo Quartet), Atlantic-kvartettinum (Atlantic Quartet), and some foreign musicians. Later she went to join hljómsveit Svavars Gests (The Svavars Gests band) and later she worked with hljómsveit Ingimars Eydal (The Ingimar Eydal band), and she also ran a band with her husband Finni Eydal for numerous years; around 1940-1996.
