Biography
Hellbeast of The Night is anchored by the Los Angeles-based, song-writing team of Emmy-nominated composer Silas Hite and his wife, bassist and vocalist Lisa Hite.
After a whirlwind romance, the two quit their jobs to seek freedom to create. Alone with a few bottles of wine one evening in their creaky home in the hills, Hellbeast of The Night was born, and they decided to form a band worthy of such a name. Merging Silas’s years of experience writing and producing music for many different bands, films and television shows with Lisa’s past as a touring musician in a post-punk band, the two agreed that the music must fill their need for dark, sexy rock songs as well as songs you can dance to. The pair share vocal duties with Lisa on bass, Silas playing guitars, keys and percussion, and long-time friend Jeff Friedl (DEVO, Pucifer, Ashes Divide, A Perfect Circle, CSS) on drums. The resulting EP, Bump in The Night is full of dirty guitars, sexy bass lines and heavy drums – music to make you move.
Hellbeast of The Night’s lyrics concentrate on the urges of the flesh, the temptations of vice, and the struggle between doing what is good for you and doing what you want. Hellbeast of The Night is music for late nights and bad choices.
All songs were written, produced, and recorded by Hellbeast of The Night. They are seeking distribution and label representation for their upcoming full-length release.
