Biography

Her Min (Korean: 허민; born September 11, 1981 in Seoul), also known as Furuya Mina, is a South Korean singer-songwriter.

After attending Hongik University's French Language and Literature Department, she dropped out and re-entered Seoul Institute of the Arts' Practical Music Department (Jazz Piano Major) and graduated. In 2003, she participated in the 15th Yoo Jae-ha Music Competition and won the grand prize with the song '사랑했는지 (Did You Love Me?)'.

She debuted in January 2006 with her first debut album 'Vanilla Shake'. She entered the Japanese market around 2009.

On December 26, 2009, she married Japanese DJ, Korean pop music critic, and K-pop MC Masayuki Furuya, who is well known in the industry for MCing and interviewing famous Korean artists, such as BTS, IZ*ONE, and many more.

After her album 'Winter', she retired from music and gave birth to a son in 2017. As of today, she is fluent in Japanese, where she lives in Japan with her husband and son. Rather than pursuing music, Hermin currently teaches Korean language classes, as well as offering cooking classes. Her Instagram page is active at @furuya_mina.
