There are two artists called Hilla, one's from the US and the music on this last.fm page is by Hilla in the US not Icelandic hilla
and the other from Iceland.
Hilla is a singer-songwriter from Iceland, Reykjavik. Hilla has been writing up her songs from her infancy. Some might say that it's not the very time for an Icelander to write songs because of the current dire predicament and this horrific Economic turmoil in Iceland. Nevertheless, there's a talent in here and no economic recession can hinder this. Once you've given a listen to her songs you discover that the songs themselves are recorded just without any particular equipment that is fully intended for recording, just a simple mic, guitar and melodica is all that Hilla's got in trunk, i heard she has a kalimba too, but the main essence that makes listeners engrossed in her music is her voice, her lyrics, never mind the rest, just a bit reverb and that's all it takes. Now all she needs is time and luck and there's a virtual guarantee that this artist will gather as many scrobbles as Bjork has.
