Biography

Honey Ride Me A Goat was formed in Kent in the early part of the 21st century by three childhood friends with an aim of creating a strange new music. Despite being criminally unfashionable, they have nonetheless continued to forge a respected cult following in the international underground scene.

After recording a 5 song demo at Canterbury college in 2004 and playing some well received local shows, the trio entered into the studio in 2005 to record their first S/T EP which was released on their own Kitchen Dweller imprint on 10" vinyl. On the back of this record they soon started getting invited to play more shows around the country and continued to sporadically tour and record with the likes of Hugh Hopper, Weasel Walter, Sonny Simmons, OXES, Qui, Upsilon Acrux, Noxagt, That Fucking Tank, Ceephax, & DJ Scotch Egg amongst many others.

In 2007 they released a follow up split 12" EP with NJ based grind-jazz merchants Mothguts and toured Britain with Prog-popsters; Hot Club de Paris. This was followed by a limited split CD EP in 2008 with defunct fellow Kentish hard-core band Lakes on the respected UK indie Unlabel. In this time they also managed to record a session with late Soft Machine legend Hugh Hopper at his studio in Canterbury which finally saw the light of day in extended EP format in 2013 via Voiceprint Records.

In 2009 they returned to the studio to record a new split 12" with Upsilon Acrux and embarked on a small UK tour together. The best of the bands tracks from this period were collected and released in 2010 as UDDERS by excellent Australian label Lexicon Devil, with re-mastering done by Bob Weston of Shellac at Chicago Mastering co.
