Biography
Heavily influenced by the Canterbury prog rock scene in England, However was formed in 1978 in the United States. The quartet consisted of Peter Princiotto (vocals, bass, guitar, piano), Bill Kotapish (guitar, bass), Bobby Read (sax, flute, clarinet, keyboard), and Joe Princiotto (drums, percussion).
The band released Suden Dusk in 1981, which displayed their experimental brand of symphonic, jazzy progressive music with several time shifts and stylistic changes.
They released Calling four years later. Although the album continued in the same musical vein as its predecessor, it had a glossier production and was recorded with a female vocalist.
The group's catalog was later re-released on CD by Kinesis in the 1990s.
