Il Rovescio della Medaglia was a progressive rock band from Italy, formed in Rome in 1970 by members of I Lombrichi with the singer Pino Ballarini. After two albums of hard rock, they added a keyboard player and collaborated with composer Luis Enriquez Bacalov on the ambitious concept album Contaminazione (1973). Bacalov had also worked with New Trolls and Osanna. This album turned out to be the band's last, though a live recording from this period was later released.
