1: Inside Voices is an American three-piece band, consisting of John Gnorski (guitar, vocals), Lee Slack (bass, vocals), and Jeffery Brodsky (drums, vocals). They currently reside in Portland, Oregon, however the three met years prior attending studies in upstate New York. Though their instrumentation is comprised of the usual rock setup of guitar, bass, and drums, its the light group vocal harmonies, unusual drumming style, and distinct guitar melodies that form the band's sound. "Inside Voices" describes their material appropriately, as their live sets are distinguished by their low and more intimate volume level, which is strengthened by their catchy sense of melody, percussive hooks, and simple song structures.
They are currently unsigned, and have released a self-titled, self-released EP.
Jeffrey Brodsky is also a member of the two-piece Powernap. John Gnorski and Lee Slack are also members of Genchen & Reidel, a two-piece as well, named after Lee's imaginary childhood friends.
