The international Staff Band of the Salvation Army is the band which represents Salvation Army Brass bands around the world. Made up of the best British Salvation Army players, their aim is to spread the message of God through their music. Because of this aim they tour extensively and frequently, both in the UK and abroad playing pieces that are often comissioned either for them or for other Salvation Army Bands. They are at the front of the brass band movemenet as well, having recently played with Black Dyke Band at the Royal Albert Hall (2001).
