Biography
Folk punk versifier Isaac Graham is proof that the best things start at home. Armed with a Tascam 8-track recorder, an acoustic guitar and an irrepressible DIY ethic, Isaac recorded his debut album ‘Empty Vessels’ in the comfort of his lounge-room. The album, a beguiling mix of punk rock rhythms and strong lyrical narratives in the vein of artists such as Billy Bragg, Paul Kelly and Bruce Springsteen, is the culmination of three years spent honing his song-writing skills and gigging relentlessly. In the past two years Isaac has shared the stage with an eclectic range of local and international acts including Frank Turner (UK), Tim Barry (US), Elliot Brood (Can), Mental As Anything, The Jezabels, Dragon, Carus Thompson and Jack Carty.
After winning the hearts and ears of local audiences with his punk-inspired folk songs, the young Sydney-based singer/songwriter caught the attention of international folk/punk legend Frank Turner who featured Isaac’s track ‘Gold and Steel’ as a B-side on his 7” single ‘Try This At Home’. Isaac is currently working on material for his next release whilst still touring to spread the word of ‘Empty Vessels’.
