1) Isma Almeida, born in COHAB in Itapevi (São Paulo, Brasil), was one of the members of the musical duo Irmãs de Pau and is now starting her solo career with the single “A SUBSTÂNCIA”, produced by the duo Cyberkills. The single is part of her debut album “Made In COHAB”, confirmed by Altafonte, her official distributor. She has already released previews of a second track called “SOCIALISMO DA PUTARIA”, produced by Christopher Luz.
Isma is known as a FunkStar for exploring funk music with influences from ballroom, hip hop, rap, tribal, and electronic genres, and for writing about the experiences of Trans people with humor, boldness, and clever wordplay. Isma dedicates her work to the freedom of the body, claiming space in music and showcasing the power of a Black trans woman from the periferia.
