Father John Misty rubs me the wrong way because it's so ironic/detached, the J. Tillman stuff seems a lot more earnest and sincere.

I knew there was something. He was never like Father John Misty, as he was under his own name. I just thought he's like this, since I only saw him solo as Father John Misty.

Actually, that was a little harsh of me. I do like a couple of his new songs. I just lament for all this LA rockstar stuff.

Wow, I am really disappointed by his new music + 'relaunch'. It's like he is having some kind of premature mid-life crisis or something. And this is coming from someone who listened to his music almost exclusively a year or so ago - it had an honesty and simplicity about it that was hard to find anywhere else. But hey, what do I know. I guess his new image etc will get him more listeners, and as long as he is happy that is what matters. I feel a bit sad about it though.

Maybe he was drunk? Can't say that.... I was shocked by this resolution. Or maybe he just hate italian people.

What a delusion.... hearing his music you could figure a really wise and gentle man. Nothing more far than truth... he's so rude and unkind!

J. Tillman has no website, so new info is always scarce. However, I stumbled across a reference to his upcoming new album. On Jonathan Wilson's Wikipedia page, it has him listed as a credited musician on a J. Tillman album to be released in 2012 called "Fun Times in Babylon." It's about three-quarters of the way down on the list. There's also a reference to an unnamed 2012 J. Tillman album at the very top, but I assume that's the same thing as "Fun Times in Babylon." Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Wilson_(musician)#Musician_Credits
