Biography
Jatavia Shakara Johnson (born December 3, 1992), better known by her stage name JT, is an American rapper. She formed the Miami, Florida-based hip hop duo City Girls with Yung Miami in 2017, and began her solo career in 2023.
JT's debut single as a solo artist JT First Day Out was released on October 9, 2019. Her second single as a solo artist, "No Bars", was released on July 14, 2023. "No Bars" also served as the fourth single for City Girls third and final album RAW. In February 2024, JT released her single "Sideways" and later In April 2024, released her single "OKAY" serving as the lead singles for solo debut mixtape, City Cinderella, released on July 19, 2024.
JT also features as a solo artist on records including Summer Walker's "Ex for a Reason (with JT from City Girls)" (2021), the "Queen Mix" of Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl" ("Super Freaky Girl (with JT & BIA feat. Katie Got Bandz, Akbar V & Maliibu Mitch) - Queen Mix") (2022), Kali Uchis' Muñekita (with El Alfa & JT) (2023), Doechii's Alter Ego (with JT) (2024), the remix of Stunna Girl's "Like Dat" ("Like Dat Remix (feat. JT)") (2023), and Camila Cabello's "Dade County Dreaming (feat. JT & Yung Miami)" (2024).
