Biography
In 2019 Jack Oblivian (ex-frontman of the legendary trio, Oblivians) released an LP of recordings that had accumulated over the years, some of them solo recordings, some alternate versions of songs you may remember from earlier Oblivian LPs.
The album, Lost Weekend, may be regarded as a mixtape of sorts. The ingredients (bluesy garage, sleazy garage beat, groovy R'n'B) are classic Obilivian: a bunch of hopped-up noisy garage rockers, some great soul swagger, a little twist and twang, killer organ touches, and bluesy overtones.
