Biography
James Lamar Stankunas was born and raised in the small town of Shamokin, Pennsylvania with his grandparents. Having two vocalists for parents, his mother an R&B crooner and his father a rock star, it was inevitable that James would develop a deep love and appreciation for music. He began singing at the young age of 3 and is surely destined for stardom.
His choral experiences throughout high school led him to become the 2nd Chair Tenor II in the PMEA All-State Chorus. Due to this position, he was afforded the opportunity to sing with the All-Eastern Chorus, which is comprised of 13 states. The versatility of James’ voice comes from his love of all types of music but his main interest lies in the R&B/Soul genre.
James also has experience in the field of acting where at the age of 11, he was fortunate to land a small role in the 2006 movie, “Night Listener” starring Robin Williams. James is currently perfecting his talents by studying Vocal Jazz Performance at Temple University in Philadelphia. @RealJamesLamar
