Jesper Kyd, born in 1972 in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a music composer known for his work on video games including the "Hitman" series, "Freedom Fighters," "Kane and Lynch: Dead Men," "Assassin's Creed," and "Borderlands."

He began creating music in the mid-1980s using the Commodore 64 computer and composed for various demo groups on the Commodore 64 and later the Amiga before transitioning to video game music.
