Biography
Early all-female metal pioneers in Japan formed in 1982.
Jet Maybe most notably competed in and won the ladies' tournament at the major Yamaha band battle EastWest '84, the same event which Show-Ya had won in 1982, leading to their breakthrough. Tomoko Abe & Harumi Komori were named EastWest '84's best guitarists and the band received a return invite to compete at Light Music Contest '84. The band didn't end up winning anything at LMC '84 however and weren't signed by a record label, though Yamaha did bring them in to perform as a special guest at EastWest in 1985. After a few more years mostly as an independent band, they broke up.
