Biography
Jobst von Brandt (1517 - 1570) was a German composer, who from 1530 studied in Heidelberg and sang in the court chapel under Lemlin. he became an administrator for the monastery of Waldsassen (Oberpfalz) in 1548. More than sixty of his lieder were published in Forster's collections (1549-56) including quodlibets and songs in more than four parts. he also wrote Lutheran polyphony, and a volums of his psalm settings appeared posthumously.
