Biography
Born and raised just outside the small town of Iroquois, Ontario, the influences of fresh air and simple country living can be found in Joe’s singing and songwriting. Music began in the home at a young age firstly through piano lessons and then later on by teaching himself guitar on his brother’s acoustic.
To name just a few bands and musicians who have shaped and inspired Joe’s style from early days to more present would include: Dave Matthews Band, Jars of Clay, Downhere, Jon Foreman, Don Ross, Erik Mongrain, and William Fitzsimmons. Garth Pereira and NET Ministries of Canada were also special in teaching and forming Joe in the heart of worship.
To date, Joe has 4 albums released. Sleeper, Rise was released April 13, 2012. His other albums include There and Here recorded in 2009 in Kingston; You Are I Am recorded in 2008 in a basement project that involved a homemade fort of 14 mattresses; and Coming Home – his debut acoustic vocal Album recorded in a 3 day studio experience in the summer of 2005. All Albums are available through CD Baby or iTunes.
Joe currently resides in Toronto Canada where he works as a Pastoral Assistant at York University’s Catholic Chaplaincy.
