Biography
Joel Smith is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who currently calls Spokane, Washington home. His first CD, titled River Roads, originally written and recorded as part of a Master's Degree project, is an entertaining mix of bluegrass, blues, country, rockabilly and other roots music that follows the Mississippi River from Minnesota to New Orleans. Spokane7.com says "Smith writes from a number of different influences, incorporating some country, folk and bluegrass into his sound. He plays multiple instruments and also moonlights in eclectic newcomer buzz band Hockey."
Joel has performed live as Joel Smith and the Hands of Plenty, a group featuring other musicians such as fellow Spokane artist Mark Ward.
