He is an Associate Pastor at The Ark Church in Conroe and has served there since 1997. He is married to Tamara (Hestilow) Fernandez of Conroe. They adopted their first child, a baby girl in March of 2011. John is one of seven children born to Robert and Patricia Fernandez of Baton Rouge, LA.
