Biography
Jon England (from England!) has a unique performing style more akin to the smooth, luxurious sounds of the 1930's jazz-flavoured high-society cocktail shows of Hollywood and Broadway while comfortably inhabiting the 'modern' world of power ballads and showstoppers.
His entirely self-taught ability (without the aid of any kind of formal music or education) has developed since his early teens to produce piano music of outstanding listenability and emotional impact.
A multi-instrumentalist, Jon performs ALL the orchestral accompaniment on his considerable discography and continues to astound all comers at his live performances…. he attributes his early fascination with mult-track recording to Les Paul and Mary Ford hits recorded off the radio by his Dad in the early 1960's.
Currently in the USA, Jon's audience reach extends daily with (so far) 5 years of 6-shows a week at South Carolina's "Opry" (a Broadway/Vegas-style revue) and trips to Las Vegas and Branson as well as worldwide adventures on the world's most luxurious Cruise Liners.
Series with Britain's BBC and America's NPR have firmly established his reputation as a master of the art of Piano-Cool, while his Roger Moore-meets-Hugh Grant personal communication style, makes him a delight to enjoy on stage.
