Biography

1) Combining cathartic hardcore hooks with a reverence for early 2000s . JunkBunny’s sound is anthemically massive while still retaining an emotional resonance. Compromised of Mac Johnson (Guitar/Vocals), Isaac Moore (Drums), and Seth Reissig (Bass), the Austin-based trio released their debut EP Junk Rock with the help of Howard Benson in 2019 and have since garnered recognition for their raw tracks and electric live performances. Balancing shows at sweaty dive bars with stages alongside legendary acts like ZZ Top and Jon Bon Jovi, JunkBunny’s emergence has been as swift and visceral as the sounds which they continue to labor over in an underground studio in Austin.

2) Junkbunny was a New York City based band that was formed in the late '90s by Michael J Bowman (ne Velveeta Heartbreak), Joel Bachrach and Alec Cumming. Bowman and Cumming had played together in The Hungry Dutchmen. Joel Bachrach was a veteran of the '80s and '90s north Jersey music scene. The band recorded one CD "Bump", released by Pink Hedgehog records in the UK and Semperlofi Recordings in the US (2000). In 2002 they recruited Alex Bachrach and played their one and only live show at The Baggot Inn in NYC's Greenwich Village.
