Choi Kwangryul (최광렬), stage name "Kanto" (칸토), born May 23, 1994 in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea is a South Korean rapper and dancer under Brand New Music. He is also a member of the idol group TROY.
In 2013, Kanto debuted as a solo artist with the single, "말만해 (What You Want)", which featured Sunggyu of INFINITE. Prior to that he released a self-made mixtape, "Initial Step", and released a second one the following year, "Young Blood".
Kanto joined DO-crew in the talent show called "Show Me the Money" season 2, but was eliminated at the first setout. However, he released a studio version of the song he performed during the broadcast, "Gangnam Women". This track became a bonus on the second mixtape of Kanto.
He has appeared in the tracks of numerous artists, the most famous being Bizniz, Kim Greem and Miss $. He also performed with Bumkey.
He released two mixtapes: "Initial Step" mixtape under Brand New Music, released 11 May 2012 & "Young Blood" mixtape under Brand New Music, released 11 October 2013.
Featured in music videos such as Phantom's "Burning", Mighty Mouth's "My Heart is Broken" and BrandNewMusic Family's "Happy Brand New Year". All these music videos were released in 2012.
