Kari Jobe, born Kari Brooke Jobe on April 6, 1981, in Waco, Texas, is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and talented worship leader. Raised in a Christian family, Jobe embraced faith at an early age, which significantly influenced her music career. She attended Oral Roberts University, Christ for the Nations Institute, and Dallas Baptist University, where she earned a degree in pastoral studies and psychology.

Jobe's career began to flourish after she joined Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, as a worship leader. Her debut self-titled album, released in 2009, garnered critical acclaim and included hits like "I'm Singing" and "Healer." This success was followed by "Where I Find You" in 2012, featuring the well-loved single "We Are." Both albums solidified her status in the Christian music scene.

In 2014, Jobe released "Majestic," a live album recorded at the historic Majestic Theater in Dallas, Texas. The album featured the hit single "Forever," which became one of her signature songs. She continued to explore live recordings with "Majestic: Revisited" in 2015. Her 2017 album, "The Garden," reflected personal themes of hope and healing, inspired by her own experiences.

Jobe's discography also includes collaborations with other artists and groups, most notably "The Blessing" in 2020, a song created with her husband Cody Carnes and Elevation Worship. This song gained widespread popularity and won the GMA Dove Award for Worship Recorded Song of the Year. It peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums and No. 7 on the Christian albums chart in the UK and received RIAA Gold Digital Single certification.

Throughout her career, Kari Jobe has been recognized for her heartfelt worship music and powerful vocals. Originally from Texas and now residing in Nashville, Jobe tours the country with her husband Cody Carnes and their two boys, Canyon and Kingston, and they both serve at their home church The Belonging Co.
