The band was formed by Chris Smith a.k.a. Chris “Slayer” (Guitarist & Vocalist), Jared Warren (Bassist & Vocalist) and Scott Jernigan (Drummer). The trio of Warren, Jernigan, and Smith, all went to the same high school together in Tumwater.
