naming a debut album after a ballad about incest is absolutely unhinged, i'm obsessed with her

My favorite album, out of all the artists I’ve listened to. Every song in this album is amazing, and I’ve probably listened to this album hundreds of thousands of times on - and off of last.fm

To me this is her best album. I love when Kate's singing in her higher pitch.

The original Japanese vinyl cover of this album is probably my favorite picture of Kate. It's like she's looking right through you.

I wouldn't say it's her best, but goddamn.. what an iconic album. So original and so well crafted. Even today in 2019 it stands out and it's been like what.. 40 years? For many artists an album like this would be their magnum opus and rightfully so, but hey it's Kate.. she just had to outdo herself and somehow manage to create SEVERAL records that were even more interesting and groundbreaking. Like seriously, she's such an artistic QUEEN. Took some time for me to appreciate the vibe but even if you don't like it sonically, you've got to appreciate what a brilliant debut it is and how unique it is.

honestly, this has been the slowest to grow on me. I immediately connected with Lionheart, Never For Ever, Hounds of Love, and The Sensual World, this one has taken some time. But Moving, Saxophone Song, James and the Cold Gun, Man with the Child in his Eyes, and Wuthering Heights are instant classics.
