Biography
Kenny Baldwin was born on April 3, 1979 to Louis and Jeanette Baldwin. Sharing his father's birthday, he is the youngest of the Baldwin's three children.
Kenny was led to the Lord by his father at the young age of four. He was called to preach at the age of nine.
He attended the Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Graduating in May of 1997 with the highest honors awarded by the school, his awards reflected unusual achievement in spiritual leadership, academics and music. He was student body president during his senior year. He also received the top athletic award at the school, and was captain and MVP of the varsity basketball team. Kenny is an accomplished musician with proficiency in piano, conducting and voice.
Kenny's passion, however, is for preaching. He got early experience in preaching by participating in the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) competition at the age of nine. He won first place in that competition and went on to win first place each consecutive year through the twelfth grade. These nineteen first place awards included one occasion at the National Preaching Festival and three consecutive occasions at the AACS National Competition in Greenville, South Carolina. After winning in his final high school entry at AACS Nationals, he was asked to preach during the awards ceremony to a crowd of 5,000.
His dynamic preaching style has afforded him numerous opportunities to minister at Crossroads Baptist Church, in other churches in various states and overseas, in youth conferences and rallies, revivals, missions conferences, community centers, homeless shelters and schools. He has a particular burden for his generation. Kenny has been influential in leading scores of young people to Christ through his preaching, personal witnessing and counseling. His interaction with youth all across America has made him a tremendous spiritual example to hundreds of young people.
He joined his dad's ministerial staff at Crossroads Baptist Church in 2000. He currently serves as Youth Pastor and School Administrator, Assistant Choir Director, Assistant Director for the Conference on Evangelizing Black America (COEBA), Children's Choir Director and Church pianist.
Kenny and his wife, Bethany, were married on March 16, 2002. They have two sons, Kevin and Kenneth and two daughters, Karmen and Khloe. They reside in Annandale, Virginia.
