Kevin Gates is a busy man so he needs two phones—to keep his drug work separate from his personal life.
“2 Phones” was released on November 5, 2015, serving as the fifth single from Gates' debut studio album Islah. It has peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Gates' first Top 40 song and his highest charting single to date.
The song’s accompanying music video premiered on January 1, 2016 on Kevin’s YouTube account. It was directed by Jon J, who previously directed the music videos for Gates' “Kno One” and “Really Really”.
