Kick the Kangaroo is a Danish rock band consisting of Michael Lund (Lead vocals, additional guitar), Søren Andersen (Guitar, backing vocals), Lars Andresen (Keyboards, backing vocals), Flemming Koch (Drums, backing vocals) and Martin Hald (Bass, backing vocals). On the bands website they state that "Kick The Kangaroo's music is based mainly on Australian and American guitar-rock/pop". They have named their own brand of musical style "active rock".
Four of the five members of the band met eachother in high school, and a few of them already in kinder garden. From the very first day it was clear that they all pursued the same dream. Kick the Kangaroo have released three albums. The first album called "Sounds Like A Bad Joke" was released in May 2000. Two years later, in August 2002, a second album "Bits and Pieces" was released. In June of 2003 the band released a third album entitled "Bits and Pieces - Swedish Vers" containing songs from both previously released albums.
