Kids With Beards is a three piece band out of Bismarck, ND, though the project has its roots as a duo between Richard and Kat. Evan and Kat grew up together in Bismarck and Richard is originally from Hazen, ND. Richard and Kat would frequent Rhythm Records in Bismarck playing regularly at open mics and befriending the owner, Robbie Montgomery. Kids With Beards has played at the Pangea House in Minot several times and in June they were invited to perform at GypsyFest in Trenton, ND, by Noyln Falcon (GypsyFoot), who also arranged for them to record their first demo, which was released at the beginning of August as a CD-R and pay-what-you-like digital download.
