so far I'm liking the Collective more than No Home Record, is more immediate... the beats go hard

Kim Gordon being almost 71 and still releasing music is just fucking unbelievable, not only the act of putting music out there but also staying ahead of relevant sounds is just so awe inspiring

I loved Sonic Youth since I´m 16, now I´m 47 and still love most of what Sonic Youth did and am so amazed by the solo work Kim Gordon did in the past 10 years or so.

well, you can feel it was written by a person deeply hurt and still in the process of getting over and it makes it a somewhat embarassing read; not only because of its confessional quality but also because her trying to be "above the situation" often comes off as awkward. Many readers have also commented on weird personal attacks eg. an out-of-the-blue diatribe against Billy Corgan not being a true punk rocker but I think again it's understandable given the overall mood of the book - she must've been very... easily upset at the moment of writing
