Biography
Folk rock/alternative bluegrass artist,
King Mountain, was assembled in December of 2009. By chance, the already established line-up of Jake Piazza, Jake Nemyer, and Drew Guntle came across singer/songwriter Joel Cederberg and clouds parted and trumpets sound. The former electric and effect-heavy project of the 2 Jakes and Drew had become stagnant and Joel's song composition and lyrical honesty was the palette cleanser and opportunity they were all seeking.
Searching for depth and a fresh sound, the newly formed King Mountain introduced the mandolin and banjo into their repertoire of acoustic stringed instruments which has given them the intimate, grass-roots sound you know today. Their love of performing their carefully crafted songs is matched only by their love of the arts themselves. This is evident by their high energy and high emotion live performances.
