Matthias Steinmetz, born July 15, 1982 in sacramento california, better known by his stage name King TMD or simply TMD, is a German / American rapper, actor and music producer. King TMD is the official connect of Master P’s No Limit Forever Records in Europe. He grews up in germany, attended the german High School and studied Music Management & Music Marketing for three years. After having studied, he becames FOUNDER & CEO of the MSB Music Group till today. In humanitarian work he is also active and does his part to give back to the community that “built and embraced him”.
In February 2006, King TMD released his first mixtape “I’m a superstar”. It was made available via his website and official Myspace page. There it was downloaded more than 400.000 times for free. His first single disc “See me in the club feat Dj Flipcyide of G-Unit South”, released in 2008, was rewarded by a sensational number 1 ranking in the German Radio charts for 4 weeks. In the first 2 hours of release, the disc received more than 4000 downloads on iTunes and amazon. It was extremely successful in the underground and eventually made its way to radio. “See me in the club” is currently available on more than six compilation albums like”Various Artists - Dancing In The Street, Hip Hop Don’t Stop, Hip Hop Vol.01, Black Music & Hip Hop Essentials Vol.01, Black Music Essentials Vol.01 or Strictly Dance Vol.01. Also in the Hollywood feature film “The Wingman” (a GARRISON PRODUCTIONS INC. production 2012) his song is heard.
The second single, “More Money”, was featured by QuaShawna, and also the video version. “See me in the club” and “More Money” are the most expensive 35 millimeter music videos of Germany, produced by Hollywood director and cameraman Ernst Kubitza (known for Hollywood movies like dischord or the German movie il giardino etc.).
“Rollin”, the third single, receiving radio airplay and reached number 1 in the Myspace Top 100. Dancers were cast by the german tv show “RTL Punkt 12” for this music video. The publication of “Rollin” King TMD forbade his first record label MooGeen Records and changed to GEVEN Music. King TMD was nominated for best video premiere on Yavido, Mixery Raw Deluxe, Worldstarhiphop, Trace tv, iMusic tv, CLB tv, MTV, VH1, MUZU.Tv or the online music tv PutPat.tv. in 2010. He has his own music video channel on myvideo and Sevenload (with more than 1 million views on Sevenload).
In 2011 King TMD had more than 6.6 million plays, 7.5 million views on Myspace, plus 18 Myspace awards. His most successful single, “Turn it up”, was released in 2011 and sold more than 200.000 digital copies worldwide.
The recording company and recording studio “MSB Music Group”, which is a record label based in Pirmasens, Germany, specializing in rock, rap, hip hop and R & B music, was founded 2009 by him. His “personal team” named “GEVEN Millionaires” purpose being to promote King TMD and the GEVEN Millionaires via street teams and internet. Until the year 2012 he had his own alcoholic beverage luxury drink brand “King TMD Luxury Drink”. 50.000 bottles, of this 20% alcohol exotic liqueur with 22 carat gold, were produced and sold worldwide.His international career continues with the release of his 5th single, “Give you what you need”. Red Carpets, stretch limousines and a lot of great stars visited his 2012 cinema premiere of “Give you what you need”. Give you what you need was the worlds first rock music video include an 45min documentary.
