Kirtana is a singer/songwriter whose music could be described as poetry or prayers set to music. Heavily influenced by folk music, her husky voice is soothing and uplifting. Her lyrics could be described as new age or music for awakening. If you're familiar with Buddhist philosophy and/or Eckhart Tolle, you'll recognize those themes in her music.
