Biography
Although raised in a small coastal city in Southern California, Kiya's experiences have taken him far beyond his childhood suggests. Having moved to Italy at age 19, his experience living in the cosmopolitan city of Milan and his travels around Europe and Asia opened his mind to different cultures, peoples, and of course, music from all over the world. "I always liked to dance, and I always loved music, but I never realized how much more there was to music until I saw people of all colors and backgrounds together as one in harmony," Kiya said referring to his first experience in Ibiza in the summer of 2001. This and other eye-opening experiences in nightclubs around the globe is what inspired Kiya to become a DJ. His passion and curiosity of the harmonious effect dance music has on the world has made him determined to do whatever he can to follow in the footsteps of the DJs who helped enlighten him. As a product of music lovers and gifted with an incredible ear for music, Kiya is using his musical background and experience playing the piano to help him not only play the hottest dance tracks as a DJ, but also produce music that will be played by other established and upcoming djs around the world. He is currently working on his first release, which he expects to have completed by this Fall.
