Biography
Kufaku is four-piece Indonesian band originating from Batam founded by Bobby, at 2008. Kufaku consists of Bobby (vocal) , Fikar (bass & keyboard) ,Mamat (drum) , and Indra (guitar). They have several music video released including Terlanjur which had their popularity amped, as well as critics from Pop society about their music and singing style. Kufaku also released metal/post-hardcore song iluimuinu which featured Syafrizal Geraldo as guest scream/unclean vocalist.
Being asked what was their musical notations sounded like and why it was sounded like that, Bobby mentioned Rotor and Rancid won't fit granny's ear, but sounds good to certain community.
Kufaku's frontman has learned that society right now believes that anti-mainstream is just a disguise from having "sin of being mainstream", as anti-mainstream is being mainstream, whilst mainstream itself has become more mainstream, and bobby decided to let it go and stay calm by settling mainstream as a new hip. He endorsed himself and kufaku with popular symbols -like illuminati, and Straight Edge name writing- and produce weird arts, in hope of people remembrance as there is always room in popularity for strange music. Their sounds & musics are succeeding what was hyped in the late 2000's alternative & experimental-rock scene like Circa Survive's Juturna, The Sound of Animals Fighting's Tiger & The Duke, Matchbook Romance's Voices, and Saosin's Translating the Name. Most of Kufaku's lyric writing was closer to Pop than any Rock or Punk derivatives.
