About Martijn Kuilema
DJ
This tall guy from Holland started as a DJ manyyears ago playing Mellow house tunes. After two
years his music style changed into Club music and at the moment he mainly spins Electro House and Techno. He got interested in electronic music after listening to the album ‘Equinox’ by Jean Michel Jarre. This opened up a whole new world for him. In 1994 he started practicing mixing with belt drive turntables he received as a gift from his parents after graduating. Later on he was one of the first in his hometown with the original Technics SL 1200’s. By comparing his mixing tapes with the radio deejays he improved his own skills and became well known for his technique. By sending these tapes to the local deejays he was asked to be the guest DJ in the local clubs and radio shows. And for several years he was a resident DJ at a popular club. Nowadays he’s spinning around the country.
In 2001 Martijn Kuilema also organized his own inexpensive successful party called ‘Destination Unknown’, because of dissatisfaction about the high prices of other raves. From 2003 until 2006 he was asked to be a member of the judge on three different DJ-contests And in 2007 Martijn joined a Dutch DJ/producer collective called ‘Dutch Grooves’ founded and organized by famous Dutch deejays.
Producer / Remixer / Label owner
In 1988 Martijn started to make his own minimixes using a tape recorder and the Jazz tapes of his dad. Later on he started using samples with the old sequencer software ‘Voyetra’ on the PC of his brother. But he wanted to become a more professional producer, so as from 1993 he started using Cubase, he bought his own gear and went producing tracks like crazy. He entered many remix contests and listened a lot to many other productions to improve his own skills. And this paid off. A couple of his tracks were signed by several important labels like ‘Be Yourself Music’ and ‘System Recordings’. And Martijn was asked to do remixes for several well known producers. Nowadays Martijn owns his own professional studio, he has an audio mastering service, he owns his own company called ‘Kuilema Music’ and in 2008 he started his own label ‘Dimpleman Records’.
About RosyRoze
Years ago the Dutch female producer RosyRoze (real name Roos Komar) began to explore electronic music. And it soon became clear that she had the talent. As a former girlfriend of an international DJ, she became a good producer partner. She knew exactly how to improve a track, and she always was a great help. After many releases it was time to focus more on herself and her own skills. The time was arrived to release her own music, like she is doing nowadays.
In the future she will also work with other talented producers. Her goal is to conquer her place in the music business, which is a nice addition to the offering female producers out there.
