Biography
La Vivas started life as an acoustic duo after friends James Donaldson & Aron Jacques would play music together before going out on the town. It wasn't long before the pair would spend much more time playing music. After a few months, the duo started playing a few gigs in local pubs and clubs but they both felt that they needed a bigger sound which meant they needed a full band.
James turned to his brother a legendary local performer and prolific song writer Kevin Donaldson. He jumped at the chance to be on stage with his brother and the three of them started jamming and working on original material. Over the next few months, they performed a number of shows with different drummers but none of the drummers could commit so before they turned to a drum machine Kevin had someone in mind.
They turned to former "The Murmur" drummer Luiz Ferreira who had been in bands with Kevin and James before and he couldn't wait to spin his sticks once more. With Ferreira added as the drummer the band spent most of 2019 rehearsing new material and reinvigorating songs they had worked on in the past.
In the spring of 2020 the band released their first E.P entitled Working Class Symphonies and planned to play numerous show across the UK but sadly the pandemic put a stop to that however, in between lockdowns the band worked hard on loads of new material.
In early 2021 the band recorded four new songs which they plan to release through 2021.
