Biography
Lapidate was a Brutal Death Metal/Grindcore band from Ajax, Canada. They were formed in 2002, by Mike Verlinden (Vocals), Gord Brown (Guitar), Darrell Kelly (Bass), and Erich Kennedy (Drums/Vocals). They took direct muscial influence from bands like: Brodequin, Cliteater, Disgorge (Mexico), and Dead Infection. Lyrically, They often wrote about gore, killing, bodily functions, and sex. Lapidate released many demos, one split, and two full length albums called "Taxidermy Tea Party", and "Sex Sells But Who's Paying". The band split-up sometime in 2008.
Lapidate means "Death by stoning".
