Biography
Laura Dre’s sultry and enchanting electronic and contemporary indie pop, breathes new life into the ever popular and evolving synth and retrowave scene, but perhaps more so into modern indietronica itself. CLASH Magazine wrote of her debut Moving Spaces released 2021 “This electronic dazzler is a clinical mixture of synthwave and electronic pop, her sound structures call to mind the Drive soundtrack in their cinematic tendencies…”
Laura’s expansive contralto vocal range is reminiscent of Shirley Manson, PJ Harvey, and Alison Moyet, while her song craft and production remain contemporary with the likes of the current crop of 80s-influenced synthpop like The Weeknd and Laura Mvula. Influences of Japanese City Pop and chill are never far as can be heard on her sophomore concept album ‘Kyoto Dreams’.
